Beaulieu Carpet is among the largest carpet manufacturers in the world with manufacturing facilities located throughout the United States, Canada, Australia, and Belgium. In 2002 Beaulieu sold the majority of its area rug and hard surface production facilities to focus on broadloom carpet production.
Beaulieu Carpet operates under a number of different brand names including Coronet Carpet, Galaxy Carpet, Peerless Carpet, Laura Ashley Carpet, Hollytex Carpet, Interloom Carpet, Grassmore Carpet, and Columbus Carpet.
While they produce both nylon and olefin carpet styles, they are among the largest polypropylene (olefin) extruders in the world. Olefin fiber, found in many loop pile and commercial carpet styles, is a very versatile fiber known for its stain resistance, fade resistance, and bleach resistance. Olefin, also, is naturally resistant to static electricity and high UV, resisting fading in outdoor applications. Most outdoor and marine carpet is manufactured using olefin fiber.
