odd lot yarn

Yarn that is introduced from a different yarn/fiber production run.  Staple fiber is blended from a variety of yarn extrusions to carefully ensure consistency.  Yarn introduced from a different blending or extrusion may exhibit slightly different color, textural, or finish properties.

oleophilic

a term used to describe carpet fibers that "love" oil or have an affinity for absorbing oil

open-end spinning

The production of yarns directly from sliver or roving by opening the sliver or roving and then reassembling it in a spinning element to form the yarn in a single continuous operation.

outdoor

Artificial turf used around pools on decks, in fishing boats, on marinas and as athletic playing fields.

oxidizers

a substance containing oxygen that reacts chemically to produce a reaction
